Plan Your Move

Moving date
Decide on the moving date and request a day off from work.

 

Lease agreement
Check the new lease agreement and cancel the old one on time. Otherwise: find new tenants.

 

Budget
Plan your budget.

 

Organizing labor
Ask a moving company or your friends in advance. If you're moving by yourself: arrange for a moving vehicle.

 

Final cleaning
Organize the cleaning to do it yourself or with friends, or book a cleaning company.

 

Packing materials
Order them from the moving company or online.

 

Damages and repairs
Report them to your liability insurance and the property management.

 

Measurements
Plan the furniture arrangement for your new place and the delivery of new furniture.
